Foal, A4, Soft pastels and Derwent Pastel Pencils, Reference by

I've had my pastels waiting for me to do some work with them for ages, but my old fixative (thanks for serving me all these years...) didn't really work well with them and I always ended up with ruined drawings. Also pastel paper is very expensive and... you get the point. But now (unfortunately after I drew this) I decided to go ahead with it and ordered some pastel papers (can't wait to have them here!) and I already bought new fixative (different brand). The paper I used with this drawing/painting thingy didn't really allow me to build up layers, so I wasn't able to get the contrast and colors I wanted (for example the middle of his cute little face would be better with more light in it, but the stupid paper didn't allow me to paint over the color it has now)... Well, I'll just wait for better paper and then really work on my pastel skills.
