Green Reflections

I got carried away while painting something quite challenging - ended up having an art block - and wanted to do something to free myself. So here we go, another arabian in colored pencils, this time on white paper (had to try, as I've preferred tinted papers for quite some time). This started as a play with colors and ended up quite refined. It is a shame that you cannot see how rich and deep the greens really are, as the photo was not able to capture them. The cheek and neck of the horse are actually much darker and deeper in color.

I simplified the halter quite a bit, but I think I still managed to make it look quite nice !
